SWIMMER AWARDS

 

HEAT Super Swimmer

 

Objectives

 

This award is regarded as the most significant award given to those swimmers that truly dedicated members of the Hudson Explorers Aquatic Team.  This award in not based on a swimmers ability to be the fastest swimmer but is based on their ability to make and honor a commitment as a member of HEAT.
 

Requirement

  1. Complete all required events listed on the Application Form (link below) legally during the short course season
  2. Compete in the mandatory USA meets for your groups plus the number of additional meets assign to that group.
  3.  Complete in at least one of the LESI Championship Meets. (8 and Under, Bronze, Silver, or Gold)
  4.  Attend the required number of practices assigned for their group.

    The award will not be presented without an application and coaches review

INCENTIVE RAFFLE

 

During the 2011-2012 Short Course season, swimmers will be eligible to earn raffle tickets toward our incentive contest. Purpose:

 

OBJECTIVE
 To encourage swimmers to attend more meets – the more meets you attend, the more chances you have to win!

Who is Eligible?
EVERYONE!!!! There will be one grand prize winner per swim group, as well as additional miscellaneous prize items. Please note that the HS age swimmers will be combined into one group for purposes of the raffle.

Grand Prize
The grand prize winner of each practice group will have their choice of an 8G IPOD Touch or a Championship LZR Racer Pro Suit (or comparable item). Additional Prizes will also be awarded after the Grand Prize drawings.

Raffle Tickets: Swimmers will earn 1 raffle ticket (worth one entry into the drawing) per each meet they participate in. Tickets will be distributed by coaches at the first practice following each meet.

There will be group updates posted on the bulletin board by the EW pool showing tickets earned per swimmer. If a swimmer attends any of the meets listed below, they will receive an ADDITIONAL raffle ticket (i.e. 2 tickets for the below meets).

Prize Drawings
The prize drawings for each practice group will be held at the awards banquet.  The banquet is scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, 2012.

REPORT CARD AWARDS

 

OBJECTIVE
To motivate swimmers to excel scholastically as well as athletically.   

REQUIREMENTS
Report card must be all A's and B's (or equivalent) to qualify.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE
There is no paper or forms to fill out. Just drop a photocopy of the report card off in Coach Katherine's Mailbox at the end of the current grading period.

HEAT PATCH AWARDS

 

OBJECTIVE
To motivate swimmers to set goals and track their swimming progress.   

REQUIREMENTS
These patches will be awarded to all age group swimmers who achieve the next highest time standard (B, BB, A, AA, AAA, AAAA) in each of the stroke categories (Free, Back, Breast, Fly and IM).

To receive their award patches, swimmers must complete the HEAT PATCH REQUEST FORM 

The patch coordinators will review the information provided and place the patches earned in the swimmer’s mailbox within 1-2 weeks of submission.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Forms should be completed on a timely basis (preferably within 1-2 weeks of the meet in which the times are achieved, but will be accepted throughout the current swim season).
