ESCROW SYSTEM FAQ
To make it easier for you to pay the meet entry fees we have an escrow
payment system. This reduces the number of checks you will write
throughout the season. Money deposited will be held in escrow by HCER for payment of meet entry fees.
Yes, after the success of the trial this summer we
have decided to make the use of the Escrow System mandatory. All HEAT swimmers are required to
establish and maintain an escrow account.
We suggest that each swimmer deposit $100 at the
beginning of the season.
Our meet management software doesn't keep track at
the family level. It views each athlete individually. To make the record
keeping as straightforward as possible we need to maintain that same
level of detail with the escrow accounts.
We do allow you to move money from one sibling to another . If we see
that one sibling has a surplus and another is overdrawn we will notify
you of the situation and move the funds between family members to save
you the effort of writing a check.
You can
add funds to your escrow account by depositing a check in the drop box
located outside the coaches office at the pool. PLEASE DO
NOT DEPOSIT CASH IN THE DROP BOX.
All
checks should be payable to Hudson
City Schools. If
you have more than one swimmer please note on the check into which
swimmers account the funds should be deposited. You can write one check
for multiple swimmers. If you specify multiple swimmers on a check we
will assume all checks are to be split evenly unless you tell us
otherwise.
You can
also add funds to your escrow account via the HCER website
www.hudson.edu/hcer. You pick the dollar amount you want to deposit: $25.00,
$50.00, $100 or $200. Please note that HCER charges a $1.00 fee for
using this service.

PLEASE DO NOT MAIL CHECKS FOR MEET ENTRY FEES DIRECTLY
TO THE HCER OFFICES. If you do the check may not get credited to your
escrow account.
You can roll the money over to the next season, move it to a siblings
account or request a refund.
You can check your balance, as well as view your
history or credit/debits, at any time via the HEAT website at
